One of America’s largest pharmacy chains has gone “woke” in an attempt to satisfy the fetishes of the transgender bully brigade.
CVS released a new set of “gender transition guidelines” for its employees that requires them to use the “preferred pronouns” of transgender employees. It also explicitly states that men are allowed to use the women’s restroom and locker room, and vice versa for women in the men’s restroom and locker room – even if they have not actually “transitioned.”
A report about the matter states that CVS employees may be entitled to a medical leave of absence “under the Family and Medical Leave Act, state law, and / or CVS Health policy” in the event that they decide to transition.
Transitioning employees, the guide states, will need to tell their immediate leaders about their plans to cut off sex organs and take gender-bender pharmaceutical drugs so the company “can provide support and to make your transition as smooth as possible.”
“You may also wish to have appropriate medical care to support your transition, including treatments such as hormone replacement therapy and / or gender confirmation surgery,” the guide further adds.
(Related: Last fall, Enoch Burke, a teacher at Wilson’s Hospital School in Ireland, was fired from his job for refusing to refer to a transgender student using “they” and “their” pronouns.)
During and after a transition has occurred, CVS also wants transitioning or fully transitioned employees to take a militant approach to anything and everything that upsets them in the workplace, including comments or looks from other unapproving employees.
“During and after the transition has occurred, CVS Health encourages you to continue to partner with your Leader and your Advice & Counsel representative, and to immediately report any issues that you might have with your employment, your work environment, and / or your Leader, co-workers, clients, and customers,” the company says.
In a special section entitled “Guidelines for Supporting a Colleague who is Transitioning,” the guide further tells its employees, transgender or otherwise, to “be an ally” to employees who are explicitly trans, “asking [them] to let them know if they say or do anything that makes them uncomfortable.”
Under no circumstances is a CVS employee allowed to refer to a trans employee by the “wrong” pronouns, either verbally or in emails and email signatures. During meeting discussions, trans employees at CVS are to be introduced by their “preferred pronouns” at all times.
CVS has explicitly stated that it “won’t tolerate even subtle forms of discrimination or harassment in the workplace,” whether real or imaginary. If a transgender gets upset about anything, he, she, they, it, or whatever always has the upper hand, according to the company’s new guidelines.
As for bathroom and locker room use at CVS, the company has adopted an anything goes policy. A man can choose to use the women’s restroom or locker room at CVS as desired, regardless of whether or not he is wearing a dress or a wig.
“Any colleague, customer, or patient – transgender or otherwise – may choose to use the restroom and / or locker room that is appropriate to the gender they identify with,” the guide states – because at CVS, transgenders have “the right to be who they are without unnecessary disclosure of medical information or gender history.”
It is, however, off limits to actually call anyone “transgender” or “transgendered” even if they are because the company says these terms are considered to be derogatory.
