People around the world are boycotting Frito-Lay, Doritos and owner PepsiCo after they hired a transgender influencer to serve as their brand ambassador in Spain who made sexually depraved posts on social media about young girls, including a family member.
The person in question, Samantha Hudson, is a man masquerading as a woman whose previous posts on X expressed his desire to sexually assault children. This sick individual, whose birth name is Ivan Gonzalez Ranedo, appeared in a video for Doritos Spain called “Crunch Talks.”
It was revealed that the self-described “anti-capitalist” and “Marxist” had made a slew of unsettling posts, including a desire to do “depraved things” to minors that are too disturbing to recount here, a hatred of women who seek help after being victims of rape, and a desire for “the traditional monogamous nuclear family” to be annihilated.
This sick individual has nearly 400,000 followers on Instagram.
The outrage has been so overwhelming that Doritos deleted the video from their Instagram account and said they would not work with Hudson in the future. They also claimed they were not aware of the previous posts.
Doritos said in a statement: “We have ended the relationship and stopped all related campaign activity due to the comments. We strongly condemn words or actions that promote violence or sexism of any kind.”
It’s hard to believe that this highly profitable company and its marketing team did not take any time to vet this individual before forking over money for a sponsorship. But if that really is what happened and they are this incompetent, it’s quite possible they’ll end up promoting even more terrible human beings, and no American should be willing to financially support them.
Doritos is no stranger to controversy. The company started to offer rainbow-themed products in 2015 to support the LGBT community. In 2020, they participated in a boycott that saw them joining other companies in pulling ads from Facebook until the social media platform banned posts made by Donald Trump.
Some have made comparisons to the Bud Light fiasco with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, which spurred a boycott that the company hasn’t recovered from, but others point out this is a far different situation given Hudson’s posts about wanting to sexually abuse children.
Journalist Matt Agorist wrote: ‘I didn’t give a sh** about Bud Light. I thought it was a bad marketing decision given the current environment, but what Doritos just did is next level WTF!
‘Hiring an admitted pedo to be the face of their product? Not that I ever ate them, but it’s prolly best to #boycottdoritos.’
X user End Wokeness also slammed the brand, writing: “Doritos just picked Samantha Hudson as their brand ambassador in Spain. Samantha Hudson: -Admitted to being a pedophiIe -Identifies as a non-binary trans girl -Openly mocked victims of child r*pe -An advocate for ‘annihilating, completely destroying, and abolishing the traditional family’.”
Bud Light lost around $395 million in U.S. sales as a result of the Mulvaney controversy, illustrating the power consumers have to hold brands accountable. However, the Doritos situation is far worse, and it’s time for consumers to band together and draw a hard line when it comes to supporting pedophiles.
Of course, Doritos are pure poison, so anyone who still eats them will do themselves and their health a big favor by cutting them out of their diet. Many of their products are unhealthy and sprayed with toxic pesticides, so it’s a good opportunity for people who regularly consume them to give their bodies a break from all the chemicals and preservatives their foods and drinks contain.
Doritos is owned by PepsiCo, one of the world’s biggest companies, which is headquartered in New York with products in more than 200 countries. Last year, its revenue was more than $91 billion.
PepsiCo is also currently the subject of a battle with one of Europe’s biggest supermarket chains. Carrefour, which can be compared to Walmart in the U.S., has told customers in four European countries – France, Spain, Italy and Belgium – that it won’t stock PepsiCo products in any of its 9,000-plus stores “due to unacceptable price increases.” Grocery retailers in other countries, such as Germany, have also stopped orders with the company.
Here’s a look at which products to avoid if you’re boycotting this unethical company.
